Pixar Pal-A-Round (formerly Mickey's Fun Wheel)

Description from PassPorter's Disneyland Resort and Southern California Guidebook:

This isn't your grandfather's Ferris wheelit's a 16-story, colorful metal wheel with both stationary and sliding/swinging gondolas that seem to disappear below the water's surface. Disney updated this classic ride with a Pixar theme, which re-opened on June 23, 2018.  For a sedate experience, board one of the eight red gondolas that remain in place as the wheel rotates. Thrill-seekers will enjoy one of the 16 other gondolas that swing and slide about as gravity dictates (the vehicles do not go upside down, however). This attraction offers spectacular views of the park and surrounding areas, and is itself a beautiful sight at night when lit up, although it's closed during World of Color. Ride it twice for both experiences! Guests must transfer from ECV to wheelchair to ride.

Great views of the park but not something I feel I need to ride often. You will never get me on one of those swinging cars!

Very boring ride. The swinging gondolas are a bit of a let down as they don't go as high as the other ones. Definitely not worth the wait in line.

If you don't mind heights, and don't mind the stop and go of ferris wheels, you will probably really enjoy this ride. You can get some fantastic views of the parks on this ride! I freak out on this type of ride so I probably wouldn't do this one again, hence my rating. But I think others would love it for the reasons stated above.

I am personally terrified of the swinging cars on this ride, the stationary ones are ok, although when we're stuck at the top, I get a little freaked. That's just me though, my family loves both options. Fun side adventure.

Choose the swinging gondolas!
