Dumbo the Flying Elephant |
Every child wants to ride around, up, and down on Dumbo, while grownups will enjoy the pachyderm’s-eye view of Fantasyland. Two-seater flying elephants take you for a short, fast spin. Show your child how to lift the control lever to go higher. The lines are long and hot—the updated and enlarged queue is mostly shaded. Adults must ride with small children, and you know the kids will want to ride again. Try to ride early in the day, as the wait is very long the rest of the time. Opened October 1955 (Dumbo recently turned 75!). Closes during fireworks. Queue is wheelchair accessible, but must transfer from wheelchair to ride.
Scope: C-Ticket
Ages: All ages
Thrill Factor: Spins high in the air
Ride Duration: 2 min.
FastPass: No
Special Considerations:
- Must transfer from wheelchair
- Seating type: bench with backs

WDW got this one right. With their interactive queue and their "beeper" system the ride is enjoyed by all. At Disneyland you get a long line in direct sunlight. Torture! !!

Classic, but oh my goodness - the wait can be looong and boring! My 7-year-old loves this ride, so we ride every time, but if not for him, I would skip it unless the line was short.

If you have younger ones with you, you should do this ride, it was one of my favorites when I was little. The lines don't make it worth it for me to ride anymore since I don't have little ones.

Dumbo is my one MUST do ride for EVERY trip. Until they updated the Disney World one, I had much preferred this one. Now I enjoy them both equally.
