Description from PassPorter's Disneyland Resort and Southern California Guidebook:

Every kid wants a chance to drive and, when they’re tall enough, they can at this popular attraction, renovated with all-new cars in early 2016. Now "powered by Honda," this classic attraction has a new storyline featuring Honda’s ASIMO robot and his robotic friend, "Bird." Experienced drivers won’t be as thrilled. Guide rails, shock-absorbing bumpers, and a low top speed (7 mph/11 kph maximum) make these gas-powered, two-seater cars safe. Three different models of cars are available to drive: a “sports” car, an “off-road” vehicle, and a “VW Bug”-like car. Mostly covered outdoor queue. Must transfer from wheelchair to ride. 52"/132 cm. height restriction to drive solo; minimum age to ride is 1 year. Rider swap available. Expect long waits. Health warning. Adult supervision required. We think the theming here makes it a better attraction than Walt Disney World’s version. One of the original 1955 rides!

Type: Ride
Scope: C-Ticket

Thrill Factor: Cars may bump yours from behind

FastPass: None

Autopia was the first car I ever drove. This ride brings back so many memories.

Ride needs to be totally over-hauled. New sponsorship just isn't enough. The last 2 times we rode it got stuck either in a car that didn't run correctly or behind one that was puffing out nasty fumes.

Little boys and girls like this ride. When I was little, I always wanted to ride it so I could "drive" the car. If you don't have little ones, skip it. It's kind of boring and there are always long lines that move slowly.

Meant for little kids and families. Just redone recently, haven't seen the new version yet. Old version gave me a headache from the fumes!
