The Disneyland Railroad reopens in the summer of 2017, adding a new trestle bridge over the Rivers of America. It closed in January 2016, as a new northern bank was added to the waterway, part of the construction of the new Star Wars Land. While it's closed, though, Disney has a special experience planned for train buffs. Engineers will be available at the Main Street, U.S.A. and New Orleans Square stations to give you the lowdown on operating the trains, plus trivia and history. Get up close and personal with the historic steam engines, get your photo with one, and learn all about the Disneyland Railroad.

This was always a must do for my family and I. When I was a kid, I LOVED the Desert theme and the Dinosaur theme, so much nostalgia there. My understanding is they are getting rid of those? Good ride to get to the other side of the park when you are tired of walking.
