Jungle Cruise

Description from PassPorter's Disneyland Resort and Southern California Guidebook:

See the sights along the “rivers of the world” in the company of an intrepid and slightly silly skipper. You and your fellow explorers will go chug-chugging up river in an open-air, awning-covered river boat inspired by the movie “African Queen.” The Jungle Cruise was one of the original attractions when Disneyland opened in 1955.  Although its technology is no longer super impressive, this ride is a beloved classic. Every skipper tells a slightly different tale. Audio-Animatronics animals and “natives” liven things up. You may get damp. After-dark cruises are particularly fun. Outdoor, covered queue—lines can be deceptively long. During the holidays, this ride is transformed into the Jingle Cruise, with special versions of the skipper's jokes and lots of silly holiday attire on the Animatronics. May remain in wheelchair or ECV, but must request accessible boat.

No trip to Disneyland would be complete without the corny jokes of the Jungle Cruise.

Jungle Cruise is all dependent on the Skipper you get. It is either fantastic or just OK.

My daughter loved it the first time. I've been on it many times and after a while it gets a bit campy.

I used to LOVE this ride when I was a kid. When I got older, I still loved to ride it. But last time, we had a "guide" that was not very good at their job. I typically like the cheesy jokes but last time it was really bad. I think it's a hit or miss depending on your guide. They can make or break this ride for you. Still love the scenes along this "river" though.

Cheesy jokes, ok animatronics, and you get to sit for a while. Slow loading and unloading, but a great experience in my book.
