A live jazz band and shaded patio dining really set this eatery apart. The food’s good, too! Sample tasty Cajun/Creole dishes such as jambalaya ($13.99), shrimp po' boy ($13.59), and red beans and rice with andouille sausage ($12.49). Soup and stews served in bread bowls ($10.49) are a favorite. Salads are $11.99. Kids' choices are mac and cheese, chicken and rice, and pasta marinara ($6.99).

Atmosphere is everything. Above average food but listening to the live jazz while your eating makes this a great experience. I personally enjoy watching little kids get up from their table and dance around to the miusic. Oh to be young again.

While this eatery has tasty food at a fair price, the seating is so uncomfortable. Either the tables are too short or the chairs are too high. Does not lend itself to a relaxing meal. But then that is probably part of the plan.
