Star Wars Launch Bay |
It's not in a galaxy far, far away ... Star Wars Launch Bay is open and ready for you to explore the world of Star Wars! View props and replicas, meet and greet Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, and Darth Vader, and get a sneak peek at things to come! There's also a theater showing a 10-minute "behind the scenes" movie featuring the directors, writers, producers, and others credited with making Star Wars happen. You can also play Disney Infinity here, complete with a Toy Box built just for the Star Wars Launch Bay. This exhibit opened December 1, 2015, after the former occupant of the space, The Magic of Disney Animation, closed on July 12, 2015.

Lots of cool movie props. Meeting Chewie was the best character interaction from our recent trip. Well worth the wait if you are a Star Wars fan.

Behind-the-Scenes movie was cool - but once is enough. The Disney Visa character meet and greet here is fun and definitely worth it if you have a star wars fan in your group (photos show up in your photopass too). We couldn't bring ourselves to wait over an hour to meet Kylo or Chewie...

Launch Bay is interesting - and it is fun to meet the Star Wars characters, but you need to do it when the lines are short. One of the best parts of our visit was the Star Wars-related banter of one of the cast members in the queuing area!
