The Garden Grill Restaurant

Description from PassPorter's Walt Disney World Guidebook:

This popular character dining experience is tucked away in The Land pavilion. Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale make the rounds of this rotating restaurant at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Watch an ever-changing American landscape while you eat. Breakfast has biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, Mickey waffles and Chip’s Sticky Bun Bake. Lunch and dinner are the same—breads with maple butter, salad, turkey breast, beef strip loin, fish of the day, smashed potatoes, and greenhouse vegetables. A “homegrown” salad features veggies from Disney’s hydroponic gardens. Vegetarians can make special requests. Kids ages 3–9 get a chicken drumstick or turkey breast—dessert is a “Life’s a Bug” cake. Soft drinks included. Breakfast is $32/$19 ages 3–9. Lunch and dinner is $37.97-$45.00/$19.10-$27.00 ages 3–9. Try for a booth on the lower tier, which is closer to the scenery. See 57625823 for character meal details.

Fabulous family style eating. Enjoyed the company of Chip & Dale, Mickey & Pluto.

Wonderful character interaction and the food (we've only done dinner) has always been very good. I love that they use food from Living with the Land.

Food was fresh and tasty, yet simple, which was good because my youngest was a picky eater at the time. Didn't know it was a character meal when we went so that was a great surprise!

Great alternative to Chef Mickey's! Much better food and great character interaction with scenic ambience.

Good food in a gently revolving restaurant!

One of the best meals we had during our trip, and we had some good ones. The family style lunch is just to die for. Even had options for gluten free. Can't wait to go back.

I grew up eating at this restaurant with my family, and now I love sharing this tradition with my own children. They love the character interactions, more so than at Chef Mickey's. They call it a ride since they know they're moving! Great food, great atmosphere, and we always follow it up by riding the boat ride so they can see where their tomatoes came from!

The food is delicious! The characters really spend time with you and you do not feel as overwhelmed as with other character dining options. A very relaxing meal!

Characters are great and kids love the moving restaurant.

One of my favorite dining experiences. Love being able to see into the ride and wonderful character interactions.

Love the food here, and rotating through the Farmhouse scene and looking for hidden mickeys. Character interactions are a bonus, but mostly we come for the food and atmosphere.

One of the best experiences we have ever had at WDW. My daughter was 5 when we visited and it was just the two of us. She's not a picky eater, but it was nice that she also had the selection of kids menu items to choose from. I even ate some of the mac-n-cheese. This was THE best place to interact with Mickey....yes even better than Chef Mickeys. Mickey came over multiple times to my daughter. He even squeezed in the seat next to her and "talked" with her for quite a long time. He tried to feed her mashed potatoes while she was simply belly laughing and awe struck to have him right there. Chip and Dale were also fairly interactive. We have many many many pictures from this one meal. To make it even better, the food was really good. Definitely want to go back!

Keep your party size to 4 or under and it is a wonder experience. You sit at semicircle booths facing out. Larger parties have to sit on the uppermost level at regular tables with the noise and heat from the kitchen and precisely none of the ambiance.

Love the atmosphere and eating areas

One of the best charachter meals. The food is fantastic and Mickey sits right down at your table with you. Try the breakfast-one of our favorites and much better pricing that many other character breakfasts. Be sure to go on Living With The Land after your meal to see where the food you just ate was grown!
