LEGOLAND Florida

The latest addition to the Florida theme park scene is a familiar name: LEGO. With the opening of LEGOLAND Florida, America received its second LEGOLAND park (the first is near San Diego, California). LEGOLAND Florida is aimed at families with children between ages 2 and 12, although as the other LEGO parks have already shown, the appeal can be much broader. After all, who doesn’t enjoy seeing LEGO models?

Having said that, if you have a thrill-seeking teen in your family, this may not be the park for them, and it’s worth making them aware of that before your visit. The rides are pretty tame, and if they’re old enough, you may want to consider allowing them to head to another park on the day you visit LEGOLAND. Another option is splitting up, with one parent going with older children, and the other heading out to LEGOLAND.
