This visually stunning restaurant serves flavorful contemporary fare from the Pacific Northwest and is among our favorites. The dining room is a soaring, log-beamed space graced by large murals of Western landscapes and furnished with comfortable, Mission-style tables and chairs. The menu changes seasonally. For starters, try the roasted beed salad ($16), steamed mussels ($17), or smoked mushroom soup ($12). The old-standby cedar plank Chinook salmon ($47) is always rewarding, or try the veal tomahawk chop ($59), buffalo hind shank ($49) or seafood and vegetarian entrees like the sweet potato gnocchi ($30) and seared diver sea scallops ($40). For dessert, the hot berry cobbler is a must ($13). The wine list is excellent—try a wine pairing. Dress code is “business casual” (see 5242). The food is great. The atmosphere is relaxing. We usually do this on arrival night to relax after a day of travel.

We've eaten here three times...so it's good enough for us to keep returning. The menu changes with a few standards (think salmon) that you can count on. The service has always been top-notch and the ambiance is nice. Good restaurant for couples. Would be pretty pricey for large families with kids. (Whispering Canyon a better venue for families.)
