Great ride with lots of great detail (audio animatronics) throughout. Yes...you can and probably will get a little wet. (If you want to lesson your chances of that, sit at the very back of the log.)

I wish they would redo Song of the South in a more politically acceptable way, so that my kids can experience Uncle Remus' tales of Brer Rabbit. Most of the time the animatronics don't work, which is unfortunate.

Get a fast pass! The lines are long no matter what time of year or what time of day you are there. The drop looks really scary but it is actually pretty tame. If you want to get wet, be in the back. If not, wear a poncho and keep your camera etc. underneath to keep it dry.

FYI, Splash Mountain has been under maintenance every January for four years now in a row. Each year my children have raced to the ride, only to be let down yet again. I understand that rides need maintenance, but every year in January? I prefer to go in January because the lines are shorter, but this also means things will be closed. I understand that, but I wish my children will eventually get to ride Splash Mountain. This is simply getting old.

This ride can be fun - if you get there before all of the seats are water-logged and you don't have to wait more than 45 minutes. The length of the ride is very good - contrast it with the 2-3 minutes of the Dwarf Mine ride.
