Disney announced that this new coaster will debut in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021. TRON will be based on the highest-rated ride at Shanghai Disneyland, which is a coaster-style attraction where you board a train of two-wheeled lightcycles. The new attraction will be built in a new area right next to Space Mountain. While we do not expect any other attractions to close permanently for it, you can expect the Walt Disney World Railroad to temporarily close beginning in December 2018 and the Tomorrowland Speedway to temporarily close for part of 2019 (reopening summer 2019).
