The Crystal Palace

Description from PassPorter's Walt Disney World Guidebook:

Little more than a stone’s throw away from Cinderella Castle (but please, don’t throw stones), this replica of a Victorian glass conservatory serves character meals all day long. Breakfast is $29.99 ($17.99/kids 3–9), lunch and dinner is $37.99 ($22.99/kids), tax included ($4–$6 higher during holidays). Winnie the Pooh is your host at this popular buffet. The dinner menu changes weekly, but usually offers carved meats, roasted vegetables, shrimp, and salads. There’s even a separate kids’ buffet and an ice cream sundae “bar.” Potted and hanging plants and wrought-iron tables and chairs add to the lovely garden setting. Beer and wine are now served here as of May 2018. See 5762 for details on the character meal.

Really enjoyed Crystal Palace! Delicious food, good service, and meeting Winnie & the gang was so fun!

Beautiful restaurant - I enjoyed my Winnie the Pooh Breakfast and birthday magic!!
Bruhaha gave this a rating of 10 on 07/01/2016 at 1:02:22 am EDT

We would never eat here again. We had a reservation and still waited over 30 minutes. The food was horrible. The characters were great. Not worth the money or time.

Loved dining with Winnie the Pooh and friends. Food was good and plentiful
Gingerk gave this a rating of 8 on 06/30/2016 at 2:10:08 pm EDT

This has the best buffet selection. Not just mac & cheese, etc.
jmtnapier gave this a rating of 10 on 06/30/2016 at 10:58:51 am EDT

I am not a buffet person but the food was ok and you get Eeyore and Pooh and Tigger too!
CEK40 gave this a rating of 6 on 06/29/2016 at 10:33:00 pm EDT

The only reason we did this was to see Eeyore for a picture for my sister, however, the food was good and plentiful! We aren't huge breakfast people, but there was enough that it covered the wide range of tastes we had at the time. And who can say no to Mickey waffles!!
questkitten gave this a rating of 7 on 06/24/2016 at 1:13:13 pm EDT

Not a big fan of buffet food, but I scheduled this as a surprise to my wife, who is a huge Tigger fan. Her surprise when Tigger was the first visit to our table was worth it! (Oh, and our ten-year-old loved it, too.)
dzachrison gave this a rating of 8 on 06/24/2016 at 10:01:29 am EDT

Not much on food choices for a buffet. Over crowded was to be expected. Had to wait for food to be brought to buffet twice. Characters was a nice plus. Had to wait for waitress when we arrived for 20 minutes. A bit over priced for a buffet style with limited choices.
uvanoscanes gave this a rating of 4 on 06/24/2016 at 6:28:27 am EDT

A bit overpriced but you're paying for the character experience for the kids. Food is usually decent and we like breakfast more than lunch especially if you can get in before rope drop.
Urbss gave this a rating of 7 on 06/22/2016 at 7:18:12 pm EDT

Buffet food is great. Character interaction is good and quite frequent. Don't plan on being in and out quickly. I would definitely recommend.
todncopper gave this a rating of 8 on 06/22/2016 at 4:34:47 pm EDT

A wide variety of food but on our visit a lot of the empty serving trays. The restaurant is really pretty and the character interaction is great.
Dopey Girl gave this a rating of 6 on 06/20/2016 at 7:25:05 pm EDT

Such a pretty place! We really enjoyed our breakfast buffet, and came late enough we actually caught some lunch items, too. Our server was awesome. Characters only spent a few moments at our table, but not a big deal for my daughter.
tullock23 gave this a rating of 8 on 06/20/2016 at 5:45:35 pm EDT

Have only been for lunch and its not the best but usually always able to find something for everyone. It more about the experience for the kids to meet characters

This is a great character experience, but the food is just okay, atleast for breakfast.
reen716 gave this a rating of 6 on 06/19/2016 at 6:51:25 pm EDT

This is a great character experience, but the food is just okay,, although I've only been there for breakfast.
reen716 gave this a rating of 6 on 06/19/2016 at 4:51:55 pm EDT

This is one of our favorite places to eat. It seems a little more relaxed than some of the other character meals and the characters seem to be able to spend a few minutes at each table which is nice even now that my girls are getting older.
angelann gave this a rating of 9 on 06/17/2016 at 3:37:56 pm EDT

This restaurant seems to have a bad rep, but my wife and I really enjoyed our breakfast there. And having the Winnie the Pooh characters come by was very magical.
ArielsEric gave this a rating of 8 on 06/17/2016 at 12:53:32 pm EDT

I think your experience here depends on where you sit. Request a table that isn't along the wall, because it gets so congested back there. Because you have to get up so many times to use the buffet, it's frustrating if you have to ask strangers to move to get in & out. It felt like a cafeteria when we were seated there. When we were seated at our own table in the middle, much better experience! It is loud & chaotic, moreso than other character meals, but good for families with kids.
Tinkertini gave this a rating of 7 on 06/17/2016 at 12:42:57 pm EDT

This is one of the oldest restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. If you like buffets, you can usually find something here to your liking. I do think it's due for a bit of refreshing.
Missi gave this a rating of 5 on 06/17/2016 at 12:33:41 pm EDT

So, admittedly, we haven't been here in years and when we went it was before Disney even had a dining plan. We went very early for a character breakfast, and while as a child I was enamored with the characters, I remember stories from my parents telling me that although we had a reservation (which was required), we waited up to 1.5-2 hours to be seated, which seems a little ridiculous. And I have heard similar stories from others visiting who have been there more recently. I think the magic of experience is there but I think that you can find that magic (of a character breakfast/dinner) in other places with maybe a little better value.
rjust44 gave this a rating of 6 on 06/17/2016 at 12:04:59 pm EDT

This is my favorite restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. For a buffet, the food is exceptionally good. Service has always been very good for us and the opportunity to see the Pooh characters without a wait is well worth the premium pricing.
fletch1965 gave this a rating of 9 on 06/17/2016 at 8:46:12 am EDT

It's always a very charming character dining experience. The standard buffet food you'd expect but we always find something to eat from the selection.
Grooviamommy gave this a rating of 8 on 06/17/2016 at 1:44:18 am EDT

Been coming here for years. A great way to eat a big lunch and then have a small cheaper dinner. Love the characters too Piglet and Pooh
PTHOMA2942 gave this a rating of 8 on 06/17/2016 at 12:11:30 am EDT

Great for families with and without children .The characters are friendly and make a point to come to every table.
Punky4 gave this a rating of 8 on 06/16/2016 at 11:29:04 pm EDT

The characters are out a lot, and are very eager to meet guests of all ages. . There were a lot of food choices and the quality was very good.
bareed gave this a rating of 7 on 06/16/2016 at 10:46:23 pm EDT

Beautiful inside. The food is good, typical buffet.
tinae159 gave this a rating of 7 on 06/15/2016 at 1:22:33 am EDT

Great character interaction but the food is just regular buffet style food. If you have your hearts set on seeing the characters then it is a great choice. Otherwise it is just another typical buffet.
aat912 gave this a rating of 6 on 06/14/2016 at 4:08:16 pm EDT

This place is beautiful inside, especially if you have a view of the castle out your window. Feels very classic Disney to us. Food is good enough for a buffet. Character interaction is great.
EvaKi gave this a rating of 8 on 06/14/2016 at 12:31:57 pm EDT

We love this place, it is noisy but also lively and a lot of fun! The characters are out a lot, and are very eager to meet guests of all ages. The food is very good indeed, with a lot of choice at dinner, and some very good quality food!

I love having breakfast here and getting to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends is so fun! Definitely try Pooh's French Toast!
Nemo125 gave this a rating of 8 on 06/13/2016 at 8:24:41 pm EDT

Service is great. Window seats have more ambiance. Characters cycle through frequently and will engage children when they are at your table.

Getting a prepark opening breakfast here is a big draw. Hugging Eeyore is our favorite thing to do as well, no matter how old the kids get.
dutchdisneyfamily gave this a rating of 7 on 06/11/2016 at 5:09:52 pm EDT

Worse meal ever. Service was terrible and you are packed in like sardines. No room even to take pictures with characters.
nvrtoooldforthemouse gave this a rating of 4 on 06/11/2016 at 2:06:34 pm EDT

Crystal Palace is our go to buffet. My ten year old says "Who wouldn't want to hug a giant stuffed animal".
Karyn Bixby gave this a rating of 9 on 06/11/2016 at 10:39:49 am EDT

Very crowded; food was cold and bland. Had to request to see characters that never made it to our table after the meal. Would not recommend,

Crystal palace gets high marks for fun. It is very pretty and the characters are fun. I mean, who doesn't love Winnie the Pooh. But if I were to be honest, we do not enjoy the food when compared to other restaurant options. If I were to visit, I would choose to eat Breakfast. The food is much better and they have Pooh's French Toast. The omelette station is good and so are the Mickey Waffles. For dinner, the Peel-n-Eat Shrimp are decent and the desserts are always fairly good. Nice place to have a birthday meal for a child. We always get plenty of time with the characters and the view from every table is beautiful.
Lunae gave this a rating of 6 on 06/10/2016 at 5:30:01 pm EDT

Love this beautiful, airy restaurant. We have really enjoyed the variety and quality of lunch and dinner foods. Adorable Winnie the Pooh characters.

Eeyore is my favorite, and this is a great place to meet up with him. We enjoy going for breakfast.
Meggera gave this a rating of 7 on 06/10/2016 at 3:37:59 pm EDT

I love the setting - sitting next to the windows and watching the water is magical even without the characters. There were lots of food choices for lunch and the quality was very good especially for a buffet. Characters came by often too.
nikiry gave this a rating of 9 on 06/10/2016 at 12:16:53 pm EDT

The best part of this meal is getting one on one time with the characters. They really spend time with each table to get lots of pictures and autographs. Food is not great, but for kids the character experience can be worth it. Would not recommend for a group of adults who are not in it for the characters.
Csb10salum gave this a rating of 6 on 06/10/2016 at 10:43:12 am EDT

I think it is beautiful inside. It's a great place to have a birthday meal. I love the Pooh characters.

One of my our favorite breakfast places
jshock54 gave this a rating of 8 on 06/10/2016 at 10:08:44 am EDT

The food was just average for dinner, not many choices. Our server was very unfriendly and as a party of 9 it was hard to tip him 18%. But the character interaction was amazing and a lot of fun.
jenloveswdw gave this a rating of 7 on 06/10/2016 at 9:43:37 am EDT

Early into the park for breakfast meant we we first to the fun! Fare is pretty typical but the setting and characters made this special
