What PassPorter Readers Think of The Plaza Restaurant (27 comments):

This is the only place where we had to wait for our ADR, almost a half hour. (We had gotten an ADR before they stopped taking them.) People without them were expected to wait 45 minutes or longer. The food was okay, but my daughter's milkshake was not. All in all, it was not an experience that we will be repeating.

We enjoy eating at The Plaza for lunch. Food is simple fare but very good. And how can you say no to a sundae for dessert?

eh it is okay - not impressed with my meatloaf. The Mayor coming in to say hello and the Mickey Pants sundae were the highlight.

Ilwe had a nice lunch here. The food is good. It did have a lighter menu as well. The sundaes were big hits for everyone.

One of our favorites! Sorry we can't make ADRs anymore. Not sure about standing in line for it

The food here has been wonderful each and everytime we've eaten here. And it's lovely inside, too.

I wanted to eat here for along time and finally did in April of this year. Sadly I was really disappointed. The food wasn't great and our server didn't have the usual high standard we have found at other Disney restaurants.

Absolute favorite MK eatery! Food is simple & delicious. Excellent & attentive service. Sit-down meal for a counter-service price. Pay out of pocket & save your dining plan credit for somewhere more expensive. Can be a little loud, but it's tolerable because it's not a meal you're stuck at for 2 hours.

We eat here a lot-the food is usually good. Don't get the fries though, never crispy enough. The setting is nice, in a Victorian atmosphere on Main Street USA. Strangely, it has no restrooms. Plan accordingly...

This is a nice, quick little place with great food. My family was surprised at how good the food was, as we were expecting more of a quick service burger kind of place. It is a sit down, full menu, type of meal. It's quick but better food than quick service. Atmosphere wise it doesn't have the same magic as other Magic Kingdom restaurants, but I think it's a bit of a hidden gem.

We always eat here at least once during our WDW vacations. We've never been disappointed with the food nor the price. We always pay out of pocket and save dining credits for more pricey places. The service is hit or miss and the decor is tired looking and could be refreshed but overall it's a nice place to sit and have a decent meal that won't break your bank. Also, the banana split is yummy!

Great food at a great price! Table service quality at just over quick service prices.

I was really looking forward to eating here last November. We were sorely disappointed. Our waiter didn't possess any of that famous Disney hospitality for starters. It's a very small restaurant that look dated to me. The menu selections were limited as well. None of the 4 of us liked this place, and I would not go back.

Food is very good. Overlooked at times as it is not directly on Main St. Good place to take a break in the heat and recharge.

Incredibly good for dinner, and the best TS option in MK. However, it is closer to QS prices... if you are on the DDP, pay cash and save the TS credit for EPCOT.

Although not as magical as other restaurants, we find this one of the most economical table service restaurants in magic kingdom.

A good solid place to get out of the heat and enjoy a sandwich.

The location alone makes this a great place to eat. It is very pretty inside and we have always had great service. It is a special place to eat on Main Street. If you eat at the right time, you can even catch a glimpse of the parade out the front windows. Portion sizes are nice. I always get the Grilled Reuben sandwich. You cannot go wrong with either the handmade chips or fires... both are good. I would also easily recommend the Grilled Chicken Sandwich or the Cheese Steak Sandwich. My husband likes the Meatloaf Meal, but I personally am not a fan. And oh my... Mickey has prepared some of the BEST Ice Cream in WDW for you. You simply must get The Plaza Restaurant Sundae (and I love the Mint Chocolate Chip). We also really enjoy the Creamy Hand-Dipped Milkshakes (again my favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip. Enjoy some Ice Cream for me!!

We love grabbing some ice cream before a parade!

This is a great hidden gem at the end of mail street before you get to the castle-great sandwiches and don't forget to order dessert! The air conditioning is always on high and this is a nice cool break to get out of the heat. Great to book before or after the afternoon parade!

Delicious ice cream. One of the best desserts you can get on the Dining Plan.
brandy_mel gave this a rating of 7 on 06/10/2016 at 2:50:30 pm EDT

Prices are only a few dollars more than most of the counter service restaurants. Great value if you aren't on the dining plan but bad use of your credit if you are.
