Despite closing down an entire section of Downtown Disney to build a new four-star hotel, the LA Times and Orange County Register are reporting that Disneyland is cancelling the construction of said hotel. This is unsurprising given that the new hotel would not qualify for the reduced tax rate in the City of Anaheim, which they believed they would when they first announced the new hotel. I'm not convinced this is the last we've heard of a new hotel at Disneyland, however. I think further developments are yet to come!
