DsnyGrl234 writes: "Good Evening Ladies~ A group of 10 of us (My husband and I, his parents, my parents and 2 friends plus their 3 year old and 8 month old) are heading to the World for a Pre-Cruise, Princess Half and my 40th Birthday celebration. I need some help understanding the Memory Maker option. Is it just like PhotoPass, but called something different? What are the differences between the two programs? As long as we use one magic band, will all the pictures wind up on the same package or is it like DCL where they use the facial recognition and you only get the pictures you are in? My husband and I were there 3 years ago for our honeymoon, my parents and I were there about 8 years ago, my husbands parents haven't been to the world since the early 80's (so we will call this their first visit), and the rest of the group has never been there, so the majority are first timers and I would really like to make the most of photo opportunities. Love the show!"

Amanda Nash writes: "I just wanted to share a Random Act of Pixie Dust that happened to my daughter while we staying at the Grand Californian Resort in Disneyland earlier this week. My daughter, Grace (age 12), was at the pool with my husband. My husband was working, taking calls and on his computer while I napped in the room with our other kids. Since Grace was by herself she made friends with and played with a 3 year old little girl. The little girls parents introduced themselves to my husband and so he wouldn't be concerned about Grace being near them (he wasn't really concerned since he was at the pool too). Grace has always been really great with kids, we think she is a natural born teacher. She played with the little girl for a few hours. She also gave the parents a lot of hints & tips about the resort (even though they were native Californians and had stayed at the resort several times Grace is the one who told them about the 6th floor viewing terrace for World of Color, they had no idea!). When it was time to go back to the room the little girl's parents gave Grace a $50 Disney gift card for playing with their little girl. They told my husband they thought it was so nice of Grace to spend time with their little one. They also told my husband how amazed they were that Grace was so smart, kind, and well spoken. They said she was the most impressive 12 year old they had ever met. On the gift card they wrote that Grace was their "pool princess". Of course, my husband told them the gift card was completely unnecessary, that is just how Grace is every day. They insisted that she keep the card and Grace was so proud. She really is a great kid but this act of pixie dust has done more for her self-confidence than anything I could have done. Being recognized by others made her feel so good. Grace didn't have a chance to spend all of the gift card money before we came home so she has decided to continue the pixie dust by purchasing something for another child who just happens to be in the store with us when we are at Disney World in October. Thank you"

Erica Bartel writes: "Hello Wonder Women, I was able to make a FP+ reservation for lunch at BOG on July 8. I was also able to place my meal order at the time I made the reservation. Once I was confirmed I went to MyDisneyExperience but was unable to find confirmation of the reservation. I also checked my email and found nothing there. Concerned that the reservation was not actually placed I repeated the process three more times as I encountered the same issue each time. The final time that I made the FP+ reservation I took a photo of the final "confirmation" page so I would have proof that I have a FP+ reservation when I arrive at BOG for lunch. Do you know where I can see my reservations? How do I go about canceling the ones I made that I won't be using? I really hate to have those time slots reserved by me when someone else could be scheduling a FP+ for their family at those times. If I am unable to cancel the ones I don't need will I be charged $10 per person just like a dinner reservation? Thank you for your help!"

Kymm writes: "I have a question that was inspired by Sara’s trip to Via Napoli. I will be with a party of 4 in September on free dining. On our arrival night, we will be having dinner with some family members who live in the area and are driving up to see us. We will be treating them to dinner at Whispering Canyon Café so we will be paying cash for them. I love the idea of the build your own family platter as my son is 11 and my cousin is in his early 20’s and their appetites can be very large at times. How would this meal work with sharing on the dining plan and part of the party paying cash? Will they charge us 4 credits plus the cash portion as a buffet would? I’m starting to wonder if this was a bad idea as I don’t want to cause any problems. If you can help clarify I’d be so grateful. Thanks so much for the weekly dose of Disney!

Meg Kardelis writes: Hello Ladies! We have the Wishes Dessert Party booked for our trip in October, do you happen to know if we will be able to see the Main Street Electrical Parade from the party? Any other interesting tips to share about the party? We're getting excited for our week long vacation even though it's still 3 months away. Also glad we still have 3 months because my 2.5 year old son is currently 39" and he needs to grow 1 more inch so he can finally ride Splash Mountain! :) Thanks for your help!"

Kellie Nelson writes: "Hi Jennifer and Sara! Thank you for all of the wonderful information and the smiles every week. My question has to do with apps. I have an app that keeps track of my Disney reservations and the basic idea is fantastic but it seems like the developer has let it fall to the wayside as there are several glitches and missing pieces (such as a way to delete old reservations) and no updates in the past few years. I want to love My Disney Experience, however, they have their own glitches. The most recent being my ADRs in Disneyland for this summer are showing a few HOURS different from the actual confirmed reservation. Sooooo ( hint, hint) any plans for developing a passporter trip organizing app? You know. In all of your spare time. PS. the current app is for iPhone only and is called Mouse Memo"

Jennifer Marx is the author of dozens of PassPorter guidebooks, as well as webmistress of PassPorter.com. She is mom to 13-year-old Alexander, who has been to Disney World, Disneyland, and on the Disney Cruise so many times we've all lost count.
Sara Varney is the editor of PassPorter News and manager of the PassPorter's Club. She is also a travel planner for Mouse Fan Travel. Most importantly, she is Mom to her 13-year-old son Ryan, an experienced Disney traveler in his own right.
