Studio Tour |
This is the attraction that spawned the theme park. While the tram tour isn’t quite as immersive or “behind-the-scenes” as in the old days, it’s still a fun and informative look at movie sets and props. The tour takes you through Universal’s backlots, where you’ll see sets such as the “Psycho” house, “Jaws,” “King Kong” (the original version), and “Jurassic Park.” Peeks at more recent movies are included, such as “The Mummy” and “War of the Worlds.” There’s also a bit of thrill to the tour, such as when your tram “collides” with a big-rig truck that explodes. The Studio Tour is currently "hosted" by Jimmy Fallon, and the tour includes the award-winning King Kong 360 3-D by Peter Jackson, and has an all-new Fast & Furious finale. For the best tour, go Monday–Friday during business hours—this is also your best chance of seeing a celebrity. Typically, the last tram leaves around 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm, so do this attraction early on. During peak season, special nighttime studio tours are offered. Closed captioning on request. Guests may remain in wheelchair during attraction.

It's the backbone of Universal Studios. It's what people really come to see. Try to sit on the right hand side of the tram.
