Star Wars Weekends Starts May 17

This Friday, May 17, 2013 is the official opening of Star Wars Weekends 2013 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Celebrity Hosts James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein will be on hand each weekend between May 17 and June 9, 2013. For a line-up of events each weekend, check out the Disney Parks Blog.

Woody's All-American Round-Up at Disneyland This Summer

Beginning June 14, 2013, Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree will be home to Woody's All-American Round-Up. Woody, Jessie, Mickey and Minnie will be on hand to greet guests and Woody and Jessie will be showing off their cowboy and cowgirl skills. Games, activities, food and more will be on hand.

'Glow With the Show' Ears Added to Disneyland Fireworks

As part of Limited Time Magic, the "Glow With the Show" Ears are being incorporated into "Magical" the nighttime fireworks show at Disneyland. Guests wearing the Ears will have access to a special fireworks viewing area on Main Street, U.S.A, on select nights - May 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19, 2013. The viewing area has limited capacity so spots are first come, first serve.

Merida to be Crowned 11th Disney Princess

Merida, heroine of Disney-Pixar's Brave, is being named to the Disney Princess Royal Court on May 11, 2013. The ceremony begins at 9:30 am in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom and will feature all 10 official Disney Princesses.

Carbon Freeze Me Returns to Star Wars Weekends

The most sought after souvenir from the 2012 Star Wars Weekends is back for 2013! At the D-Tech Me location at Disney's Hollywood Studios, guests can now choose from being frozen in Carbon or being reimagined as a Stormtrooper. The process takes only 10 minutes and uses a 3D Face Scanner to capture your image for use in either figurine. The cost is $99.95 plus tax per figurine. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-TECH and a credit card guarantee is required. A $25 cancellation fee will apply for cancellations les than 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Three Disney Parks Open for 24 hours on May 24

Disney Parks will celebrate the start of a "Monstrous" Summer on May 24 with 24 hours of fun at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. The parks will open at 6:00 am on May 24 and remain open until 6:00 am on May 25, 2013.
