Allie is home for the holidays. She's opened her presents, gone snowboarding, played Sorry! (the Disney Edition, of course), and watched her new sharks video. And, yes, you guessed it, she's bored. So while I'm in our home office working on this week's newsletter, she's looking over my shoulder and eager to be part of the "action" (if you can call it that). Allie and I did a little brainstorming and we thought it would be fun if she contributed with this article! 

Many of you have written in to tell us how much you (or your kids) enjoy Allie's KidTips in the book. Allie feels a little shy about this, but she still thinks it's "cool." So we thought you'd enjoy some more stuff from Allie -- namely her favorite (and least favorite) places in Walt Disney World. Those of you with kids should find Allie's 10-year-old's opinion helpful. And if you don't have kids, you may at least enjoy Allie's comments on each of these things, especially the one about the Adventurers Club! So, without further delay, here are Allie's Picks: 

Allie's All-Time Favorite Resort:
Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort (Why? "The animals!") 

Allie's Least Favorite Resort: All-Star Sports Resort
(Why? "It's not as cool. There's no balcony -- there's nothing to look at like the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge.") 

Allie's Top Five Favorite Attractions at the Magic Kingdom:
1. Space Mountain (Why? "I like roller coasters and because it is a long ride.")
2. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Why? "Ditto")
3. Barnstormer at Goofy's Farm (Why? "I like it, but it's short -- it's like you only spend one minute on the ride.")
4. Jungle Cruise (Why? "I like the jungle and I like the boats.")
5. The Enchanted Tiki Room (Why? "Birds! I like animals, you know.") 

Allie's Least Favorite Attractions at the Magic Kingdom:
- Alien Encounter (Why? "It's scary. It makes me want to roll up into a ball like a beetle.") -- now "Stitch's Great Escape!"
- The Hall of Presidents (Why? "It's so incredibly boring. All you do is listen to how the presidents became famous.")
- The Haunted Mansion (Why? "It's scary. It gives me nightmares.")
- Shrunk Ned's Junior Jungle Boats (Why? "My boat wouldn't move. I turned it slowly and it didn't move. It was like the thing was broken just to get my money. I spent a lot of time on that thing and it wouldn't work. It would just turn around in circles.") 

Allie's Top Five Favorite Attractions at Epcot:
1. Test Track (Why? "It goes fast and because it is a dangerous obstacle course.")
2. Ice Station Cool (Why? "Because of the soda and I really like soda.") -- now "Club Cool"
3. The Living Seas (Why? "I like sea creatures") -- now "The Seas with Nemo & Friends"
4. Universe of Energy (Why? "Because of the dinosaurs. Not one speck of it was scary.")
5. Maelstrom (Why? "It has a waterfall that you can go down. You feel like you'll fall off the first waterfall, but then you go down another waterfall. Then you go to movie that's boring.") 

Allie's Least Favorite Attractions at Epcot:
- Food Rocks (Why? "It's so incredibly boring because the food sings. It's stupid.") -- now closed!
- Global Neighborhood (Why? "You sit there and listen to the story. You don't really do anything.") -- now closed!
- The Making of Me (Why? "It's just plain talk and it's so incredibly boring.") -- now closed! 

Allie's Top Five Favorite Attractions at Disney-MGM Studios:
1. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Why? "I like roller coasters and it goes upside down")
2. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular (Why? "Action!")
3. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure (Why? "You feel as if you're just a little ant and then you have a whole world to explore.")
4. Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Why? "It's cool and it has bubbles.")
5. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Why? "It goes down really fast, but it's also scary.")

Allie's Least Favorite Attractions at Disney-MGM Studios:
- Magic of Disney Animation (Why? "It's boring because all it talks about is how it makes the films. Do you know how boring that is to a kid?")
- Playhouse Disney (Why? "It's for babies.")
- Sounds Dangerous (Why? "Too loud.")

Allie's Top Seven Favorite Attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom:
1. Festival of the Lion King (Why? "I love the Lion King!")
2. The Boneyard (Why? "I like digging up the bones.")
3. Kilimanjaro Safaris (Why? "Because I like animals, of course. Why else?")
4. Tarzan Rocks (Why? "I like Tarzan.") (note that this attraction has been replaced by "Finding Nemo--The Musical")
5. Primeval Whirl (Why? "Because it is a fun roller coaster and it spins")
6. Kali River Rapids (Why? "You can get wet!")
7. Dinosaur (Why? "I like dinosaurs and reptiles.") 

Allie's Top Five Favorite Attractions at Typhoon Lagoon:
1. Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool (Why? "I like the bodysurfing.")
2. Shark Reef (Why? "Because I like sharks.")
3. Castaway Creek (Why? "I like to relax in it.")
4. Gang Plank Falls (Why? "So I can ride with my family.")
5. Keelhaul Falls (Why? "Because it's fun.") 

Allie's Top Four Favorite Attractions at Blizzard Beach:
1. Ski Patrol Training Camp (Why? "It's fun because you get to jump on the icebergs.")
2. Melt Away Bay (Why? "Because the waves are cool.")
3. Toboggan Racers (Why? "You go down this big hill, then you go straight, then you go down again, and then you race.")
4. Snow Stormers (Why? "It was really really fun and exciting and bumpy.") 

Allie's Top Five Favorite Attractions at DisneyQuest:
1. CyberSpace Mountain (Why? "You get to create your own roller coaster.")
2. Virtual Jungle Cruise (Why? "You go back into prehistoric times")
3. Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters (Why? "Because now I know how to steer well.")
4. Treasure of the Incas (Why? "You get to drive through this maze and find treasure.")
5. Midway on the Moon (Why? "Because of the cool games and you can win prizes.") 

Allie's Least Favorite Attractions at DisneyQuest:
- Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride (Why? "The helmet kept falling off my head.")
- Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam (Why? "I can't move the pinball -- I don't weigh enough yet.")
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold (Why" I always lose against the pirates.")
- Radio Disney SongMaker (Why? "It's just boring.")
- Ride the Comix (Why? "Because I never win.")
- Sid's Create-A-Toy (Why? "Whenever I want to make something I can't make it just the way I want it.") 

Allie's Favorite Places at Pleasure Island:
1. Adventurer's Club (Why? "It's fun! The big face that talks all the time is funny. They should call her Blabylonia instead of Babylonia.")
2. Comedy Warehouse (Why? "Because it's funny.") 

Allie's Favorite Restaurants at the Magic Kingdom:
1. Cinderella's Royal Table (Why? "They have good service and really good food. And you eat in a castle!")

1. Chef Mickey's (Why? "Because Mickey Mouse is there!")
2. 1900 Park Fare (Why? "You might get to meet Mary Poppins in the morning.")
3. Cape May Cafe (Why? "It had a little kid's buffet and they gave you taffy.") 

Allie's All-Time Favorite Character Meal:
- Cinderella's Royal Table (Why? "Because the Disney princesses are there, of course.")
